Fire Department responds to Five calls including Three motor vehicle Accidents

At 04:53 AM Monticello Fire Department was dispatched to a 2 vehicle collision on South Main Street. Monticello Police Department responded and performed the accident reporting. Wayne County EMS transported one patient from the scene while Fire Department personnel assisted with traffic control and scene safety.

Over the last 24 hours Monticello Fire Department has responded to 5 calls for service.
1) At 1:44 PM the department responded to a residential fire alarm on Old Fall Creek Road.
2) At 4:52 PM Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Monticello Fire, and Wayne County EMS responded to a 3-vehicle collision on East Hwy 90 at the Gap of the Ridge. Personnel were on scene for over an hour dealing with fluids, debris, and assisting with keeping traffic flowing on the highway.
3) At 8:21 PM fire personnel responded to a 2 vehicle collision on South Main Street with Monticello Police Department. Fire assisted with providing blocking in the roadway while MPD gathered information for reporting. No injuries were reported.
4) At 1:09 AM Monticello Fire was dispatched to North Main Street for a fire alarm. Units checked the building for fire and assisted the employee in resetting the alarm.
5) At 4:59 AM the department was dispatched to a single vehicle collision on KY 3284. The vehicle had struck a utility pole. No injuries were reported.
