Yesterday the local mesonet weather recording station located in the Parnell community recorded a temperature of 95 degrees which was the hottest recorded so far this year, with the heat index at 101 degrees. July 14th had the previous hottest temperature at 94.9 with July 15th at 94.8 degrees. Today’s forecast calls for a high of 96 with a heat index at 103.
