(WKYT) – Two people were arrested on Wednesday in Laurel County after being found passed out in a parked vehicle.
According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was dispatched to a parking lot of the Barbourville Road Dollar Store due to a complaint of two individuals passed out and “foaming at the mouth” in an SUV.
At the scene, the deputy woke up both individuals, 38-year-old Mark Alexander and 25-year-old Kaitlyn Roaden. The two were noted to be under the influence and have “glossy eyes and slurred speech.”
Alexander allegedly told officers he had smoked methamphetamine two days prior.
Alexander and Roaden were arrested and lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center. Roaden has since been released.
Alexander is charged with 2nd-degree operating a motor vehicle under the influence.
Roaden is charged with public intoxication-controlled substance.
Both will be arraigned on May 11.
