The Monticello City Council met Monday night for their first session of the new year.
The council approved purchasing a 2026 Dodge Durango for the Monticello Police Department from The Don Franklin dealership at the state bid price of $42,890. The council also approved purchasing a police package for a vehicle already owned at a cost of $16,880 from Ridgenet in Somerset.
The ABC Administrator reported total of $322,060 in city alcohol sales with revenues for the city totaling $15,686,
The Council heard the Tourism Report which showed $54,786 had been collected the previous month for the Monticello Tourist Commission.
