The drought condition worsen as the entire Lake Cumberland and Green river Area is in a MODERATE DROUGHT situation as is far western Kentucky. In Eastern Kentucky from basically Middlesboro up the 119 corridor thru Harlan and Whitesburg and Salyersville, Prestonsburg and Phelps across portions of Highway 23, this is the only area that isn’t seeing a threat. — BURN BANS ARE IN EFFECT for a large number of counties in Kentucky. Regardless, outdoor burning should not be done. Only a slight chance of a shower or from Monday thru Thursday across southern KY.
