(WKYT) – One of the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted” fugitives is in federal custody after being captured in Mississippi, just one day after being added to the high-profile list.

Gregory Henderson, Jr., 46, of Indianapolis, Indiana, was apprehended without incident on Wednesday, August 12, at 1:55 p.m. in the small town of Louin, Mississippi, according to federal authorities.
Henderson had been evading law enforcement since August 2023.
A federal arrest warrant was originally issued against him in the Southern District of Indiana following a multi-jurisdictional investigation into international drug trafficking and an illegal animal fighting enterprise.
PREVIOUS (Aug. 11, 2026): Authorities allege Henderson led a violent neighborhood-based gang in Indianapolis and ran a drug trafficking network supplied by the Sinaloa Cartel. The network allegedly distributed methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl across central Indiana and the surrounding Midwest region. He is also accused of operating a dog-fighting enterprise that caused the abuse and death of numerous dogs.
In addition to Indiana, the FBI says Henderson has ties to several cities, including Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky, as well as Chicago, Detroit, Dayton, Cincinnati, and St. Louis.
Federal officials say that Gregory Henderson Jr. was the 542nd addition to the “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives” list.
