(WKYT) – The AG’s office is fighting to maintain a 30-year sentence for a man convicted for five counts of human trafficking.
A Jefferson County jury found 39-year-old Moises May guilty in 2025 for several charges related to a 2023 human trafficking case.
May is convicted of kidnapping a woman, chaining her to the floor by her neck, leaving her locked in a home and impersonating her to organize sex crimes.
According to the AG’s office, May is now appealing his conviction.
AG Russell Coleman says, “A jury found this violent individual guilty for his horrific crimes, following an excellent prosecution by Commonwealth’s Attorney Whethers’ Office. To support this victim and the safety of this community, we will strongly defend the conviction before the Kentucky Supreme Court.”
