Monticello Bank has been made aware of fraudsters calling impersonating employees and asking to speak with the recipient about their “MBC account”. These calls are appearing as spoofed MBC phone numbers.
As a reminder, we will never call and request your personal or private banking information. Should you receive a call from a number/individual appearing as MBC and have concerns that whoever you are speaking with may not be actual employee, or if something just feels off, hang up immediately and call the number you know to be good and speak with a Monticello Banking Company employee directly.
