More Details Released Regarding a Two-Vehicle Accident Earlier this Week

Two Men Escape Serious Injury during T-Bone Collision
At 8:02 p.m. Tuesday (April 8th a two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of West Columbia Avenue and South Second Street.
Officer Casey Lang’s investigation determined David Cook, 62, of Monticello, was operating a Chevrolet truck, attempting to pull onto West Columbia Avenue from South Second Street, pulling into the path of an eastbound Nissan truck being driven by Larry Lewis, 56, also of Monticello.
The impact of the collision knocked Cook’s truck onto its passenger side. Both men escaped serious injury and declined transportation to a medical facility.
The Monticello Fire Department, Wayne County EMS and Wayne County Sheriff’s Office also responded.
