A Wayne County man charged with murder following a shooting in September has been indicted by the local grand jury.
Meeting this past Thursday the grand jury returned indictments against Willard Upchurch one count of murder and tampering with physical evidence along with three counts of Wanton Endangerment.
The 66-year-old has remained lodged in the local detention center on a $1,000,000 cash bond.
Indictments don’t imply guilt or innocence only that enough evidence was presented to hold the case for trial.
