Labor Day Weekend Gas Prices and Travel

With Labor Day travel starting Thursday, sources say gas prices are lower than last year.

According to AAA, Kentucky gas prices are at a state average of $3.01per per gallon, down from last year $3.10 and 20 cents below the national average.

Wayne County – $2.97

Pulaski – $3.02

Russell – $2.99

Clinton – $2.93

McCreary – $2.99

As for travel times, AAA says that Friday afternoons are the worst times of the weekend to travel by car.

They say your best times this weekend are before noon on Saturday and Sunday.
