There’s plenty of water in Lake Cumberland waiting for everyone who’ll be out to have fun this extended weekend. Levels have dropped off after dry conditions have persisted for most of the summer. As of yesterday:

Compared to other holidays this summer that is down 20 ft from Memorial Day and 10 ft from July 4th.
Fishing conditions are good as Striper fish are being caught while trolling using umbrella rigs and live bait.
Crappie and bluegill will be found near under water brush in the mouths of creeks using minnows, jigs, and tubes in 12-15 feet.
Bass can be found in the early morning and before dark on topwater bait, spinners, and jigs.
Catfish can be at night on the bottom using nightcrawlers and stinkbaits.
Walleye can be caught in 40 feet trolling on bottom bouncers and deep tolling crank bait.
