Flyer for a “Diabetes & Heart Disease” educational program presented by the Wayne County Cooperative Extension Service and the Lake Cumberland District Health Department. The event will be held Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. EST at the Wayne County Extension Office. Registration is required by calling 606-348-8453. The flyer states that participants will learn how to manage their risk, make healthier choices, and live a longer, healthier life. Topics include diabetes, with information on understanding and managing blood sugar, and heart disease, with information on understanding heart disease and protecting heart health. Graphics include a blood glucose meter, a heart icon, a stethoscope, a blood sugar monitor, fruit, measuring tape, and exercise weights. The flyer also promotes bingo and door prizes and notes that everyone is welcome to bring a friend or family member. Logos for the Cooperative Extension Service, Public Health Accreditation Board, and Lake Cumberland District Health Department appear at the top. The flyer includes the statement: “An Equal Opportunity Organization.”
