In an effort to monitor and prevent the spread of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD), Kentucky Fish and Wildlife has implemented a special antlerless season for zone 1-3 counties within the CWD Surveillance Zone.
This season (Sept. 25-28) is in effect for the following counties ONLY:
Ballard, Breckinridge, Calloway, Carlisle, Casey, Fulton, Graves, Hardin, Henderson, Hickman, Laurel, Lincoln, Marshall, McCracken, Meade, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Russell, Union, Wayne and Webster.
Firearms, bows or crossbows may be used during this season, but only antlerless deer may be harvested. Zone bag limits and hunter orange requirements apply, as do mandatory sampling requirements.
