Man found guilty on multiple sexual abuse charges in Harrison County, sentenced to maximum penalty

(WKYT) — A Harrison County jury found a man guilty on multiple counts of sexual abuse and recommended the maximum penalty allowed under the law on each charge.

Bradley McFarland was found guilty of first-degree sexual abuse against a vulnerable victim in a continuing course of conduct and two counts of first-degree sexual abuse involving minors, according to the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office for the 18th Judicial Circuit.

The Harrison Circuit Court judge followed the jury’s recommendation of a 20-year sentence.

McFarland will not be eligible for parole until serving at least 17 years of his sentence and completing the Sex Offender Treatment Program. He will have to register as a sex offender, remaining on the registry for life, and be subject to a five-year period of post-incarceration supervision after release.
