(WKYT) – Stanton government officials unveiled a new flag for the city.
A community flag contest was held where officials were searching for a design that represented the community. The winner of the contest was Megan Burgher.
Officials say the new flag represents the “natural beauty, heritage and spirituality” of Stanton and nearby areas of Powell County.
The flag is set to be on display on the City of Stanton float on Fair Day, Sept. 18.
