(WKYT) – A man wanted for first degree rape and incest of a minor under 12 in Laurel County was arrested in Huntsville, Alabama, according to officials.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Department investigation into 46-year-old David Summerall began June 2024 after receiving a sexual assault complaint.
Detectives say their investigation revealed that a sexual assault had happened as early as Juanuary 2026.
Summerall is waiting in an Alabama jail for extradition back to Laurel County.
