(WKYT) – Many new laws went into effect Wednesday in Kentucky.
- House Bill 1 allows Kentuckians to participate in a federal school choice tax credit program.
- House Bill 4 makes grooming a minor a misdemeanor and can lead to up to a year in jail time for an offender.
- House Bill 366 criminalizes possession or viewing of sexual images of minors, including those created with AI.
- House Bill 422, or Logan’s Law, toughens sentencing and parole requirements across Kentucky.
- House Bill 510 targets organ donation safety and establishes new procedure rules if observation of a change in neurological status or indication of life.
- House Bill 904 reshapes sports and horse race betting statewide.
