The Monticello City Council Met Monday evening at City Hall. The Council did not hear the 2nd reading of an ordinance to repeal the restaurant tax and place the matter on the November ballot. The council was informed that it was not legal to proceed with the ballot issue tied into the ordinance. It’s unclear when or if the council will re address the issue.
