(WKYT) – A person drowned in Laurel County on Thursday evening.
According to officials with the London-Laurel Rescue Squad, crews responded to a reported drowning near Craig’s Creek Boat Dock on Laurel Lake around 6:15 p.m.
A swimmer went under the water and never surfaced; their body was later recovered deceased.
Officials would not say if the swimmer was male or female.
WKYT has reached out to the Laurel County Coroner for more information but has not yet heard back.
