The 18th Annual Lake Cumberland Thunder Run, a prominent regional powerboat poker run, is scheduled to take place this weekend, Friday, July 10, and Saturday, July 11, 2026.

The event is hosted out of State Dock Marina in Jamestown.

Participating boaters will travel to designated checkpoints across Lake Cumberland to collect playing cards, competing for the best poker hands. Official card stops include Conley Bottom Marina, Wolf Creek Marina, Beaver Creek Marina, State Dock, 76 Falls, and Harmon Creek.

Schedule of Events: The weekend kicks off on Friday with an organized bonus-stop raft-up. Live entertainment and dock parties are scheduled for both Friday and Saturday nights.

Prizes: Participants are competing for cash prizes (awarded to the 1st through 3rd best hands), a free houseboat rental from State Dock Marina, and various marine and sponsor prize packages.
