Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones announces the arrest of a Pulaski man following an investigation into the alleged rape and sodomy of a child.Spencer Gatio, 27, of Somerset, was arrested and charged with Rape in the First Degree, Child Under the Age of Twelve, Sodomy in the First Degree, Child Under the Age of Twelve, and Human Trafficking – Commercial Sexual Activity, Victim Under the Age of Eighteen.
The criminal investigation into these allegations began after the Department for Community Based Services contacted the Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Investigation Division regarding information they had received that Gatio had allegedly committed these acts with a child. The investigation was assigned to Crimes Against Children Detective Jay Picard.
Acting on the information that was received, Detective Picard secured an arrest warrant for Gatio for the above charges.
Following his arrest, Gatio was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center where he is still currently held on a $50,000 bond.
