(WKYT) – A Georgetown man is facing charges after a shooting incident at an apartment.
Marion Boykin, 18, was arrested Tuesday, June 16, and charged with attempted murder, first-degree attempted robbery and first-degree criminal mischief, according to an arrest citation.
The Georgetown News Graphic reported that police said Boykin attempted to take something from a person driving their car and began shooting at the vehicle.
The driver had planned to meet Boykin and a juvenile after connecting with them on social media, according to the Georgetown News Graphic. Police reportedly said the purpose of the meeting remains under investigation.
The juvenile who fled with Boykin after the shooting incident was not charged and no identifying information was released, the Georgetown News Graphic said. The driver was also reportedly not charged.
No injuries were reported in connection with the incident, and the driver’s vehicle was not damaged, according to the Georgetown News Graphic, but bullet holes were found in an uninvolved vehicle.
No firearm was located after officers executed a search warrant, the Georgetown News Graphic reported, but ammunition was discovered that may have matched bullets found at the scene.
