(WKYT) – The Boyle County Sheriff’s Office has announced human remains have been located on a property connected to the 1992 disappearance of Anna Manning.
According to the sheriff’s office, the remains have been secured and will soon be transported to a forensic laboratory for examination and identification.
No confirmation on the identity of the remains will be made until the investigation is complete and the next of kin has been notified.
The Boyle County Coroner’s Office responded to a scene on Spring Valley Road in Danville earlier this morning, but did not confirm which case the investigation was connected to.

WKYT has been following the disappearance of Anna Manning who went missing in 1992 near Spring Valley Road.
Two people, Anthony Manning and Barbara Manning, were recently arrested in connection with Anna’s disappearance.
Anthony, Anna’s estranged husband, was charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse.
He had previously been charged with kidnapping in connection with Anna’s disappearance, and served one month of a six month sentence.
Barbara, Anthony’s mother, was charged with complicity to murder, complicity to tampering with physical evidence and complicity to abuse of a corpse.
Elsie Williams, Anna Manning’s aunt, was on site Monday as investigators searched the property tied to Anna Manning’s husband and his mother. Williams last saw her niece in November 1992.
“She was like my daughter really. I raised her,” Williams said.
Also on-site Monday was Sandra Hasty, whose son has been missing in Lincoln County since 2015.
“Of course it gives me hope. Everything gives me hope. I don’t lose hope. My son will be found. And justice will be served,” Hasty said.
Williams said she is ready to get justice for her niece.
