(WKYT) – One of the men charged in connection to Amber Spradlin’s death wants to be freed from house arrest.
Michael McKinney II is charged with evidence tampering in connection with Amber Spradlin’s murder. He has been on house arrest for the past 21 months.
McKinney’s argument is that he has not faced any new charges while on house arrest.
McKinney also wants to stop taking random drug tests. He says he has not failed any while on house arrest but claims the randomness of them negatively impacts his business.
McKinney and the other two defendants are now scheduled to go on trial next January.
