Wayne County High School is proud to celebrate the success of our 2026 Prom Promise initiative

Wayne County High School is proud to celebrate the success of our 2026 Prom Promise initiative.
Prom Promise is designed to encourage our juniors and seniors to make a commitment to a safe and sober prom night. Students who chose to participate signed an agreement, along with a parent, pledging not to use or provide alcohol on prom night.
Thanks to the leadership of Mrs. Audra Branscum and the WCHS Youth Service Center, the first 100 students who returned their signed forms received a free prom ticket. One lucky student was also selected for an incredible grand prize, which was donated by the ABC Coordinator: prom tickets for themselves and seven friends, a limo ride to and from prom, and dinner for all eight.
This initiative would not have been possible without the generous support of our community partners. We extend our sincere appreciation to Monticello ABC, Mayor Kenny Catron, ABC Coordinator Jordan Crabtree, Police Chief Josh Asberry, the Wayne County ASAP Local Board, Judge Executive Scott Gehring, WC UNITE representative John Handlos, and the WCHS Youth Service Center for investing in the safety and success of our students.
Together, we are helping ensure that prom night is not only memorable but safe for everyone.
