Sheriff Bobby Jones reports the arrests today of a Pulaski man and woman in connection with an investigation by Deputies that resulted in the recovery of stolen property from multiple thefts and burglaries.
Richard Weston, 55, and Shelly Broughton, 54, both of Ferguson, were both charged with Receiving Stolen property $1,000<$10,000, a Class D Felony, and lodged at the Pulaski County Detention Center. As of this press release, no decision has yet been made on a bond for either Weston or Broughton.
Sheriff Jones responded to the scene and coordinated the recovery of the victims’ property. Sheriff Jones stated that this represents hard work by his Deputies in aggressively pursuing available leads in the reported property crimes.
The investigation remains active and ongoing, and additional crimes may be charged. Deputies are currently working to identify all recovered property and coordinate with the victims. Sheriff Jones praised the efforts of the Deputies involved in the case and stated that cooperation from the public continues to play a vital role in solving property crimes across the county.
