(WXIX) – The search continues for a missing 22-year-old Northern Kentucky University student who hasn’t been seen or heard from in more than a week.
Murry Foust was last seen Monday, April 27. Police describe them as being 5’ 7” with brown eyes and dyed-black, shoulder-length hair.
Now, police are asking people in different areas of Covington to review their security camera footage in hopes of finding something that leads back to Murry.
Covington police released these photos from recent surveillance video of Foust, last seen in Covington’s Latonia neighborhood.
“Murry used to come into our Latonia location quite frequently,” Gabrielle Egan said.
Egan is the owner of Dicey Dyes in Covington and described Murry as one of the nicest people she’s ever met.
“Every single time that I saw them, they were in such great spirits and you don’t really find that every day,” she said.
According to Murry’s friend, who posted to Facebook, Murry’s car was found a block from their apartment in Latonia off Decoursey Avenue.
Their cellphone was found in their apartment, but a bag belonging to Murry was found at NKU.
“We got a call last Thursday, I believe from Covington PD on Murry’s case,” David Rader, director of Equusearch Midwest, said.
Equusearch Midwest is one of the agencies assisting law enforcement in the search, utilizing drones and K-9s.
“We did some flights and then on Sunday morning we did a thermal flight at 4:00 a.m. and then we put a ground team with some dogs in some of the areas they wanted it done,” Rader said.
Even with these resources, there’s still been no sign of Murry.
Rader said his team has been working closely with Covington police to find answers.
“They’re working diligently on this. We’re on the phone with the detective with everything. I’m just hoping we come out with a positive outcome on this,” he said.
Covington police said no foul play is suspected, but concerns have been raised for Murry’s safety.
Officers are looking for footage from April 27, between 5:45 and 6:15 p.m., in the area between East Southern Avenue and East 35th Street, between Church Street and Summit Drive, and East 33rd Street and Winchester Avenue.
“We’re going to cover more ground, I just can’t say where were going to cover and how we’re going to do it. Again, that’s part of the investigation,” Rader said.
Murry is a part of NKU’s School of the Arts and their work is now displayed.
“Keep your eye out, keep your eyes peeled, have you seen this person? Spread the message to people,” Egan said
Northern Kentucky University is aware of Murry’s disappearance and is fully cooperating with the investigation.
“I’m hoping to God that this turns out well,” Egan said.
Murry is set to graduate this Saturday, and police are urging anyone with information to call 911 or the Covington police.
Police continue asking residents to check their surveillance footage or anything could help in the investigation.
