Frank James Turner born on December 22, 1942 in Somerset KY, departed this life on Friday, May 1, 2026 at Wayne County Hospital reaching the age of 83 years.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, was a known collector, a big storyteller and enjoyed trading guns.
Frank is the son of the late Luther Marion and Ollie M. Burton Turner.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Six sisters, Minnie Turner, Edith Turner, Edna Turner, Christine Phelps, Linda Decker and Helen Brown and four brothers, Luther Marion “Buster” Turner, Gene Turner, Jessie Turner and Walter Turner.
He is survived by his son Frank Turner Jr of Somerset KY, a daughter Machalla Davenport of Indianapolis IN and stepchildren Michael (Sherry) Morris of Monticello KY and Donna (Brian) Thomas of Somerset KY, one sister Betty Dugger of Somerset KY and one sister-in-law Dorothy Turner of Elizabethtown KY. He is also survived by several grandkids, great-grandkids and a multitude of nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 from 12pm-2pm at Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Funeral Services to follow at 2pm with Pastor Steven Bates officiating.
