Joint Agency Search Warrant Executed in Albany

On April 29, 2026, the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the Albany Police Department and assisting agencies, executed search warrants at two residences located in Albany as part of an ongoing investigation.
The investigation was led by Officer Kenny Johnson of the Albany Police Department.
The operation was conducted without incident. During the execution of the warrants, investigators recovered items of evidentiary value related to the investigation. Investigators also identified additional evidence linked to separate criminal investigations, which are actively being pursued.
As a result of the operation, the following individuals were arrested and charged:
Tyler Ledbetter, age 34
• KRS 514.111(3)(d) – Receiving Stolen Property $10,000 or More
• KRS 511.050 – Possession of Burglary Tools
Alex Terry Britt Jr., age 31, of Albany, Kentucky
• KRS 514.030 – Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition ($10,000 < $1,000,000)
• KRS 511.070 – Criminal Trespassing, 2nd Degree
This investigation remains active, and additional charges and/or arrests may be forthcoming.

All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
