(WKYT) – Kentucky State Police is investigating a deadly fire in Whitley County.
KSP Post 11 received a report of human remains found in the aftermath of a fire on Lot-Mud Creek Road, according to a news release from KSP.
The South Whitley Fire Department had found the remains after the fire had been extinguished on Saturday, April 11, KSP said.
KSP troopers were assisted by the Whitley County Coroner’s Office in collecting remains, according to KSP, and the coroner requested an autopsy be conducted.
KSP said currently, no foul play is suspected, and that the investigations remains ongoing.
