A big congratulations to Kentucky’s youth hunters on a very successful Youth-Only turkey season this weekend, harvesting a total of 2,612 turkeys! 
Here are some numbers from the weekend:
• The total harvest was up 106% from 2025 and up 56% from the 5-year average (2021-2025) of 1,675.
→ Remember the very wet youth season in 2025 that limited opportunity.
• Jakes made up 19% of the harvest, which was up 11% from the 5-year average of 17%, reflecting the 2025 cicada hatch.
