Our Doughboy statue was dedicated on April 8, 1923, and Sgt. Alvin C. York was invited to attend that ceremony.
Now, more than 100 years later, the York family will be in Monticello to honor that original invitation and the brave men of Wayne County who served in World War I.
Join us on April 10th at 11:00 a.m. EST at the statue downtown for this moment of remembrance.
