(WKYT) – Two people were flown to the hospital after a pickup truck collided with a train in Whitley County on Friday, April 3.
Fire crews responded to the scene in the Rockholds community, according to Woodbine Fire and Rescue, where they found a pickup truck on the side of the railway.
Two people were entrapped in the pickup truck, the station said, and were quickly removed and transported to a trauma center.
The engineer and conductor of the train were not injured, according to Woodbine Fire and Rescue.
The Rockholds Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene, along with Woodbine Fire and Rescue and Whitley County EMS.
