According to Wayne County Sheriff Tim Catron a 15 year-old Wayne County High School student has been charged with terroristic threatening after a pulling an April fools prank.
The student left a hand written note on a boys bathroom wall. One side of the note it stated “ I HAVE A BOMB AND A GUN”. The other side of the note had “APRIL FOOLS”. The Wayne County High School Administrative Staff with the assistance of Wayne County Sheriff Office School Resource Deputy Jeremy Meadows conducted an investigation into the incident and identified the involved student.
After concluding their investigation Deputy Meadows contact the Wayne County Juvenile Court Designated Worker resulting in charging the student with terroristic threatening-1st degree.
The student was released to a family member with a Wayne County Juvenile Court date to appear.
Wayne County Sheriff also reports the following arrests.
Douglas Young of Monticello, KY. was arrested for alcohol intoxication in a public place.
Jimmy C. Edwards of Monticello, KY. was arrested on a Wayne County Circuit Court Indictment Warrant of Arrest for trafficking in a controlled substance-1st degree (greater than or equal to 2 grams of methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, persistent felony offender-1st degree and a moving vehicle traffic violation.
Jacklyn Crabtree of Monticello, KY. was arrested on a Wayne County District Court Complaint Warrant of Arrest for assault-4th degree.
Young was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center. Edwards and Crabtree were released from custody after posting a Bond.
