Join the Junior Ambassador Program

Junior Ambassador Zach Hesse shared how impactful it’s been to connect with local leaders and build relationships with those serving our community.
He also made a really honest point: turning 18 and having the responsibility to vote can feel a little intimidating. But having the opportunity to meet candidates, hear them speak, and build those connections ahead of time makes that moment feel a lot more meaningful—and a lot less overwhelming.
Through Chamber events and opportunities, our Junior Ambassadors aren’t just learning about leadership… they’re experiencing it firsthand. Getting to engage with local elected officials and community leaders is something he says has been incredibly valuable—and it’s exactly the kind of real-world exposure we strive to provide.
Zach says, “Being a Junior Ambassador has been such a great experience. It’s a great way to begin giving back to your community early, as well as connecting, learning, and communicating to the different politicians, business leaders, and community members in our county! Being a Junior Ambassador allows you to build your social network, teamwork skills, and communication. Students, rarely to never, get to talk or interact with our local politicians, which is scary because seniors turn 18 and can vote. However, at our Chamber meetings, we get to see our politicians and representatives firsthand!”No photo description available.
