Kentucky Spring Fire Season Set to Ends Tomorrow

Kentucky’s official fire seasons run from October 1 to December 15 and again from February 15 to April 30. During these times, outdoor burning is generally prohibited within 150 feet of woodland areas except between the hours of 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM. To prevent wildfires, the state requires individuals to clear vegetation around burn piles, keep water and tools nearby, and remain with the fire until it is completely extinguished.
