Kentucky falls to Iowa State in round of 32

 (WKYT) – The seventh-seeded Kentucky men’s basketball team (22-14) fell to the 2-seed Iowa State Cyclones (29-7) 82-63 during the second round of the NCAA Tournament Sunday inside the Enterprise Center.

In his final game as a Wildcat, senior guard Denzel Aberdeen led UK with 20 points, while fellow senior guard Otega Oweh added 18 points and eight rebounds.

Iowa State senior guard Tamin Lipsey had a game-high 26 points and ten assists.

The Cats turned the ball over 20 times, leading to 25 Cyclone points.

Iowa State will advance to the Sweet 16 in Chicago, Illinois, while Kentucky’s run ends in St. Louis.
