. (WKYT) – London Mayor Randall Weddle said he received multiple reports of people not receiving weather alerts on their phones.
The National Weather Service had issued a tornado warning in some Southern Kentucky counties, including Laurel and Pulaski counties, overnight.
Every siren within London’s city limits activated, according to Weddle, who said he was unsure as to why some people’s mobile weather alerts did not.
Weddle said the situation underscores the importance of London’s efforts to install additional sirens throughout the city.
