Air Methods is set to obtain an additional base of operations in the Lake Cumberland Area

Air Methods whose home office is in Colorado is looking to add an additional helicopter base in the area.  The Russell County Judge Executive has said the company will be leasing a terminal at the Russell County Airport in the near future. Air methods currently have six helicopter bases serving Kentucky and southern Indiana, including in Somerset and Glasgow.  Renovations to the site are currently underway, no date has been given for it’s opening.
