Sheriff Bobby Jones wants to warn citizens of Pulaski County of a current scam we have received complaints about.
In the complaints, someone claiming to be a SGT Dil Whitlock with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Jury Commission notifies the victim they were absent from jury duty. This normally then leads to the scammer attempting to solicit money from the victim to take care of a warrant for their arrest.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office in Kentucky does not have a SGT Dil Whitlock employed, nor do we have a Jury Commission section. The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office will not attempt to contact you by telephone in the event you miss jury duty, or if you have a warrant.
