On Friday, February 6th, the Monticello Fire Department held the swearing in ceremony for our newly appointed Chief, Kody Ragan.
Chief Ragan has been fighting fire in Wayne County for 8 years, following in his father’s footsteps, with Susie Fire Department, as well as Somerset Fire Department.
He also is a nationally certified EMT, working for Wayne County EMS, a business owner, and a husband and father of three.
He is passionate about helping this community, and he knows how important the fire department is to the success and safety of our citizens.
