Wayne County Sheriff reports the following arrest.
On February 4, 2026, at approximately 10:23 pm, Wayne County Sheriff Office Deputies responded to a residence located on KY. Highway 3106 for a domestic situation where a report of a female had destroyed the inside of that residence. Upon their arrival the Deputies observed numerous items had been thrown around inside the residence. While speaking with the female Deputy James Barnett observed medication bottles laying on a table and in the floor in front of her. Deputy Barnett noticed two plastic baggies on the same table which appeared to be methamphetamine and two boxes on the floor which contained Sativa. One box of the Sativa was labeled to be 84% THC with the other box labeled at being 83% THC.
Both the female and male stated there was no physical contact between the two.
Deputy Barnett charged and arrested Deanna Marcum of Monticello, KY. for possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.
Marcum was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
Deputy Barnett was assisted at the scene by Deputies Jerry Meadows and Joe Horne.
