Wayne County Sheriff Tim Catron and his staff would like to welcome Travis Thompson of Bronston, KY. to the Wayne County Sheriff Office as a Deputy Sheriff. Travis was sworn in as a Deputy Sheriff on August18, 2025, by Wayne County Judge Executive Scott Gehring. Travis is a Certified Kentucky Police Officer with many years of service as a Peace Officer. Deputy Thompson has held several different roles in his law enforcement career including as a patrol officer, undercover narcotic agent, investigator as well as many other duties. Deputy Thompson will be an excellent asset to the Sheriff Office.Welcome Travis!!
