Run Report 8-3-2025#1 At 9:29 AM Monticello Fire Department was dispatched to a fire in an agricultural property on East KY 92. Personnel responded and worked on scene until 2:21 PM. Susie Volunteer Fire Department was requested for manpower and responded to assist. Kentucky 92 East was shut down during the fire as a fire supply line was laid across the road from the hydrant to the scene. Reports indicate that in addition to the property loss there was a stallion and perhaps a couple younger horses lost.
#2 At 1:08 PM while still working the East 92 fire, the department was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Morris Hill Road.
#3 At 1:40 PM, while returning from the Morris Hill call, the department was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Damron Drive.
#4 At 1:56 PM the, while still working at the KY 92 fire, the department was dispatched to a 4th call for a utility line on fire 1275 North.
Thank you to Wayne County EMS for standing by at the fire for several hours to assist in the event that a firefighter was injured. Also thank you to Wayne County Rescue Squad and Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for assisting with traffic control. Also thank you to the County and City Government for providing assistance during the event.
