Monticello Police Report Eight Recent Arrests

7/20 – Jeremy Foster, 48, was arrested at 11:06 p.m. on South Main Street by Officer Jeramy Thompson on charges of Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct. Foster had just left the Wayne County Hospital where he allegedly made threats to burn the hospital down.
7/20 – Robert Lewis Lowe, 51, was arrested at 2:36 p.m. on Crawford Street by Major Josh Asberry on charges of Public Intoxication and Falsely Reporting an Incident Generating an Emergency Response by Law Enforcement. Lowe is accused of calling 911 reporting two males with a gun kicking in a door and firing a shot. The investigation by Major Asberry and WCSO Deputies James Barnett, Cody Neal and Valis Smedley confirmed the call was false.
7/19 – Joel Lee, 44, was arrested at 6:55 a.m. on Cumberland Drive by Officer Brandon Bertram for Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place.
7/16 – Joseph Swart, 19, was arrested at 10:05 p.m. on North Main Street by Sgt. Josh Smith on a warrant for failure to appear in Wayne District Court.
7/16 – Ambrea McCutchen, 30, was arrested at 9:34 a.m. on Walnut Drive by Officer Mike Neal and Officer Jason Guffey for Criminal Trespassing 3rd Degree. McCutchen was also served with a Wayne District Court criminal complaint warrant for Assault 4th Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree and Terroristic Threatening.
7/16 – Christopher D. Barnett, 47, was arrested at 12:15 a.m. during the execution of a search warrant at his residence on Fair Street by members of the Monticello Police Department and Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. Barnett was charged with Trafficking in Marijuana (less than 8 ounces), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense.
7/15 – Mary Woods, 64, was arrested at 8:10 p.m. at Walmart by Sgt. Josh Smith and Officer Casey Lang for Theft by Unlawful Taking (shoplifting).
7/14 – Lawrence Hicks, 28, was arrested at 2:36 p.m. on South Main Street by Major Josh Asberry on a warrant for failure to pay fines in Wayne District Court.
All individuals were processed and lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
