The Monticello City Council met Thursday and decided to table a vote on the 26′ fiscal year budget. The council discussed several of the items included before deciding to hold off the vote until an upcoming meeting. The previous year’s budget was amended 4-2 and will be what the city enters the new fiscal year with on July 1st, until a new budget can be put into place.
Mayor Kenny Catron broke a 3-3 vote to end the 2nd regular scheduled meeting of the council. It was noted that if there is business to conduct the council could come together as needed in special session.
