The Monticello City Council met Monday evening at City Hall.
The Council approved Mayor Kenny Catron’s appointments to the new tourism board. The five individuals are Dillon Jones, Jeremy Rector, Maria Hopper, Vicky Davis, and Matthew Bertram.
Angela Reynolds was appointed to the Monticello Utility Commission Board.
Also, the Council Approved sewer rates for city owned properties including the splash pad and pool at the Aspire Center. The rate at 2.85 per 1,000 gallons, the rates will allow the city to operate the facilities more affordably.
A fiscal year 26′ budget work session was scheduled for next Thursday May 22nd.
