(WYMT) – A man is facing charges after Kentucky State Police said they discovered that he had been distributing sexually explicit videos of minors to one of his social media accounts.
An undercover Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation led to Jorge Martin Vasquez Jr., 25, being interviewed before he was arrested.
After their investigation, KSP’s Electronic Crime Branch obtained a search warrant on Friday, May 9 for Vasquez’s home in Monticello.
Police confiscated the items he used to conduct the crime, which was sent to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.
Vasquez was charged with 20 counts of distributing matter portraying a minor over the age of 12 in a sexual performance, 20 counts of possessing matter portraying a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance, and 20 counts of promoting a minor under the age of 16 in a sexual performance.
He was taken to the Wayne County Detention Center.
The case is still under investigation.
