The Monticello City Council met Monday night for regular business. The Council voted 4-2 not to approve an update to the city’s ethic ordinance. 2nd readings were held on ordinances to raise the insurance premium tax and lower the water rates. Council member Allen Vaughn made motions to approve both however each failed as there was no second to the motions. The complete meeting can be viewed at the following link:
